Update (Dubai) Finally

So I completely screwed up. Didn't know where to go from where I was and stopped writing because of it. Let it push back for almost two months instead of (wo)manning up and writing my way through the block. I hope that tonight is a new start, but I guess we'll see. I'm so close to done with this, and ready to start on the next one. I want to push through so I can start the new manuscript, the new idea I've had floating around in my head for awhile.

I feel like something is wrong if I'm not getting at least 10,000 words per week. The way I write is fast--lots of words when I'm on a roll and I like to finish a first draft quickly. Readjusting to school and everything has been stressful but no excuse for my laziness.
I think it's that I know exactly where I am, exactly where I'm going, and that's when I start to get bored. Part of the fun for me is finding things out. Now I know more or less everything about my story. It's just a matter of getting it down.
I pledge to do better this week--which won't be hard.

I got some time tonight (thanks, stupid documentary) to write. Yay!
Favorite: "His face looked as if someone had draped a delicate lace across his cheeks. Leaving overlapped fibers of red, green and black, the disease had wasted his skin until he was almost unrecognizable as human."
-To be fair, the phrasing isn't my favorite. The idea is, and I'm going to work on the phrasing tonight.
Tomorrow: I'd like to write up to 65,000 AND refine one of my sex scenes, just so it stops stressing me out.
